ProWein Trade Fair has just closed its gates, marking another great success.
Trade and media are invited again in Duesseldorf next year between 18-20 March to meet the Romanian winemakers and taste their wide range of Premium wines on show.
APEV, helped by the Embassy of Romania and the Economic Counsellor’s Office in Warsaw, initiated a series of actions meant to increase the Romanian wine exports to the Polish wine market, namely:
1. A trip of Polish wine journalists to Romanian wineries during April 13-16, 2016.
2. Participation of Romanian wineries in the international wine trade Fair Enoexpo Krakow, November 16-18, 2016.
3. Participation of Romanian wineries in the international tourism and travel Fair TT Warsaw, November 24-26, 2016, where Romania is guest of honour.
Similar actions are under preparation for other target markets as well.
The Director General of the OIV, Jean-Marie Aurand, presented information on the potential wine production, assessment of the harvest, and state of the market and international trade in 2016 at the Organisation's headquarters in Paris on 11 April.
Global wine production (excluding juice & musts) fell to 267 mhl in 2016, a decline of 3% compared with 2015 production.
The report covers the vitivinicultural production potential, areas under vines, global wine production and consumption, and wine import and export volumes.
International Wine Contest Bucharest 2016 (IWCB 2016), the most important international wine contest in Romania, organised at the initiative of the National Office of Vine and Wine Products (ONVPV) by the Authorised Tasters Association of Romania (ADAR) in partnership with ASER Wineconsulting under the patronage of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), has reached its end.
The contest took place between 26-29 May 2016 in Focsani, the capital of one of the most important wine regions of Romania: Vrancea (Moldavia).
